Ventura Community Park is an expansive 100-acre green space located in Ventura, California. The park offers a diverse range of recreational facilities and natural areas for visitors to enjoy.

At the heart of the park is the Ventura Aquatic Center, a state-of-the-art facility featuring multiple pools. The center includes a 50-meter competition pool with diving stands, a 25-meter recreational pool, a water playground pool, and two water slides.

The pools are heated to approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit, providing comfortable swimming conditions year-round. The aquatic center offers swimming lessons during summer months for different age groups and has clean restrooms and changing facilities.

Sports Facilities

While most of the sports fields are in excellent condition, it's worth noting that only the baseball areas have lighting for evening play.

A network of walking and biking trails winds through the park, offering opportunities for exercise and leisurely strolls. The main walking path forms a circuit of about 1.25 miles around the perimeter of the park, complete with mile markers for those tracking their distance.

The park's walking path connects seamlessly to a trail that runs parallel to Highway 126, allowing visitors to extend their journey toward the government center and beyond. This interconnected trail system makes Ventura Community Park an excellent starting point for longer walks, runs, or bike rides.

For families, Ventura Community Park provides playgrounds where children can play and socialize, though some visitors note these play areas are smaller than might be expected for a park of this size. Large open grassy areas are available for activities such as flying kites or playing frisbee.
