Located in an Aurora neighborhood, Sunburst Park is a local space that's worth checking out if you're in the area. The colorful playground is definitely a highlight, cleverly divided into two sections to keep both the little ones and bigger kids happy. We absolutely love the train-themed design - it's not your average playground with its fun swings, slides, climbing wall, and see-saw where kiddos can burn off energy while their imaginations run wild.

If you're into shooting hoops, the half-basketball court is ideal for a quick game or just practicing your shots without the pressure of a full court. There's also a nice green multipurpose field that's great for impromptu soccer matches, tossing a frisbee around, or really any activity that requires some open space.

Useful Facilities

Planning a small gathering? The covered picnic area comes equipped with tables and a grill - ideal for birthday celebrations, family meetups, or just a change of scenery for lunch. The shelter is particularly handy when Colorado's unpredictable weather decides to make an appearance.

Restrooms are available and kept in decent condition, but you should note they typically close during the winter months. The park is handicap accessible with a dedicated entrance, making it welcoming for everyone.

Street parking is available around the park, but it can fill up during peak times, so you might want to plan accordingly.

Sunburst Park is maintained by the City of Aurora. If you're visiting, just be mindful of noise levels, especially after 9 p.m., to keep the peace with nearby residents. The park welcomes visitors daily from 5 AM to 11 PM.
