About the Location
Recreational Amenities
Situated in Centennial, Colorado, Foxhill Park spans 40 acres, blending developed recreational spaces with natural open areas that provide a nice escape from the everyday hustle.
Kids of all ages find their happy place here with two distinct playgrounds - one tailored for the little ones and another for older children. What makes these play areas special? Think musical play elements where kids can create their own outdoor symphony, an adorable built-in lemonade stand for imaginative play, and a climbing wall that gives school-age children just the right amount of challenge. If basketball is your thing, the park's full-sized basketball court welcomes both casual shooters and organized games.
Trails and Natural Areas
Need to clear your head or get some steps in? The park's 0.54-mile paved walking trail meanders through the landscape, fantastic for a morning jog, an evening stroll, or simply taking in the surroundings at your own pace.
Beyond the developed areas, you'll discover large grassy expanses that practically beg for a picnic blanket, a frisbee toss, or just cloud-watching on a lazy afternoon. The native landscaping scattered throughout not only looks beautiful but also supports local wildlife and ecosystems. There's something calming about having so much open space that manages to feel both expansive and intimate at the same time.
Visitor Facilities
Gathering with friends? The park's gazebo with picnic tables offers a shady retreat for small group get-togethers with about four tables available. You'll also appreciate the mature trees around the park that cast natural shade, complementing the purpose-built shade structures near the playgrounds.
One thing to note - there are no restroom facilities in the park, so plan accordingly before you head out.
Access Information
Tucked away within a residential neighborhood, Foxhill Park maintains a serene, undiscovered feel. This peaceful seclusion comes with a small trade-off - it can be a bit tricky to find on your first visit. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 11PM.
The park offers a nice balance between active recreation spaces and tranquil natural areas, making it suitable for various outdoor activities.
