Positioned on Lehmberg Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Henry Park is a 7.9-acre green oasis that's become a quiet retreat for locals. Right next to Patrick Henry Elementary School, this clean, peaceful spot offers just enough amenities to make it worth a visit without feeling overwhelming or crowded.

The park features a nice mix of open spaces, recreational areas, and a walking path that loops around the entire perimeter - excellent for those days when you need some fresh air but don't want to venture too far from home.

Play & Recreation Options

If you're looking to burn some energy, Henry Park delivers with a multi-purpose field that's basically a blank canvas for whatever activity you're in the mood for - kick around a soccer ball, toss a football, set up a volleyball net, or simply find a spot to fly a kite when the Colorado breeze picks up.

There's also a basketball court where you can shoot some hoops or join in on an impromptu game if you're feeling social.

Got little ones? The playground area is geared primarily toward the younger crowd - think toddlers up to about 8 or 9 years old. Kids seem to especially love the twirly slide, however there's also a straight slide for the less adventurous, two toddler swings, a balance beam, and a spring car that rocks back and forth.

Getting Your Steps In

One of the park's simple pleasures is its paved walking path that circles the entire grounds. At about a quarter-mile long, it's excellent for a quick morning jog or an evening stroll. You can easily do a few laps to clear your head or get some light exercise without having to map out a route through the neighborhood.

During the summer months, a portable toilet is available - nothing fancy, but it gets the job done when nature calls. And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome here, making it a convenient spot to let your dog stretch their legs while you get some fresh air too.
