A Place of Remembrance

Jared Jensen Park is named after Officer Jared Jensen of the Colorado Springs Police Department, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on February 22, 2006. This 3.5-acre neighborhood green space in Colorado Springs stands as a living memorial to his service and sacrifice.

Skateboarders will appreciate the dedicated skateboard area where you can practice kickflips and ollies to your heart's content. Right nearby, an inline skate court gives roller enthusiasts their own space to glide and maneuver.

Ball handling more your style? The basketball court offers a great spot for shooting hoops or jumping into a pickup game with neighbors.

When you need room to spread out, the large open field provides ample space for everything from frisbee tosses to informal soccer matches or just sprawling out on a blanket with a good book.

The little ones won't be disappointed here. The playground area has become something of a hotspot for neighborhood families, including many kids from nearby Ridgeview Elementary School. With equipment designed for various age groups, children from toddlers to pre-teens can find something engaging.

If you're looking to log some light exercise, the park's 0.3-mile sidewalk loop circles the perimeter. It's perfectly paved and ideal for a quick morning jog, an evening stroll, or teaching the kids to ride bikes in a safe environment.
