About the Location
Fun & Recreation
Spread across 4.7 acres, Sagebrush Park blends natural charm with recreational spaces that give locals a breath of fresh air from everyday life. No matter if you're looking to break a sweat or simply unwind, this neighborhood park offers various options.
The playground area is popular with local families. Little ones can spend hours on the swings, zip down slides, or challenge themselves on the monkey bars. If basketball is more your speed, the basketball court in the park's center awaits your next game - meant for shooting hoops with friends, working on your jump shot, or teaching the kids some basics.
Park Highlights
There's plenty of open grassy space where you can toss a frisbee, have an impromptu picnic, or just let the kids burn off some energy. Speaking of picnics, the picnic tables scattered throughout make it easy to enjoy lunch outdoors or gather with friends for a casual get-together.
Winding through the park are walkways and trails that connect to the larger trail system in the area - ideal for a morning jog or evening stroll. One of the coolest aspects of Sagebrush is its location near Springs Creek (also called Sand Creek), where you can extend your adventure along the creek trails and take in more of Colorado's natural beauty.
For Everyone
The park was thoughtfully designed with accessibility features that make it welcoming for visitors with disabilities. It's nice to see a public space where everyone can enjoy the outdoors without unnecessary barriers.
Maintained by the City of Colorado Springs, Sagebrush Park has been serving the community for over two decades. While it shows its age in places and occasionally needs some TLC, it remains a valuable neighborhood resource where people connect, play, and relax.
Bring Your Furry Friends
Dog owners, you're in luck! The park offers generous space for walking your four-legged companions and enjoying some quality outdoor time together. Many locals appreciate how the creek trails connect to the park, making for more interesting and longer walks with their pups. You'll even spot some people using the open areas to work on training their dogs.
Note that you should always clean up after your pet to keep the park pleasant for everyone - nobody wants to discover an unwelcome surprise underfoot while enjoying the grounds!
