Garfield Lake Park

Nature's Retreat in Denver

A beautiful lake sits at the heart of Garfield Lake Park, anchoring 29.8 acres of urban greenery in Denver, Colorado. It's one of those places where city life and nature find a comfortable balance.

Take a Loop Around the Lake

If you're looking for a quick but scenic workout, the 0.6-mile paved path circling Garfield Lake might be just what you need. The trail is smooth enough for a morning jog but equally great for a leisurely evening walk when the sun starts to set over the water.

Keep your eyes peeled while you're walking - the lake attracts quite the collection of feathered residents, making this spot a bit of a lesser-known park for birdwatching in the city.

Something for Everyone

Garfield Lake Park doesn't play favorites when it comes to recreation. Sports fans can take advantage of the baseball fields, softball fields, and football fields that dot the landscape.

For a more laid-back day, the picnic areas offer an excellent setting to enjoy a sandwich while surrounded by greenery. And yes, there's a playground where kids can climb and slide to their hearts' content while parents catch a breather on nearby benches.
