Located in Westminster, Colorado, Bishop Square Park is one of those lovely neighborhood spots that locals treasure. Spread across 6.4 acres, this public space offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's not the biggest park you can find, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm and practicality.

Athletic Facilities

If you're looking to play some sports, Bishop Square offers several options. The park has two full-court basketball courts with lighting that stays on until 11:00 PM - convenient for those evenings when you want to shoot some hoops after work.

Baseball enthusiasts will appreciate the Little League field with its 201-foot fence line, also equipped with lighting for those summer evenings when the days are long but still not quite long enough. It's a hit with families for youth games - nothing quite like watching the little ones round the bases!

There are apparently tennis courts as well, adding another option for the racquet-sport crowd.

Leisure Activities

Not feeling particularly athletic? No problem. The park features a paved walking path that's meant for a casual stroll, a brisk walk, or even a light jog if you're feeling energetic.

The kids haven't been forgotten either. A playground area with metal and hard plastic jungle gym equipment sits atop a bed of wood chips, alongside some good old-fashioned swings. Good news for families with little ones: as of September 2023, plans were in motion for a playground makeover, expected to be completed by mid-2024. Something to look forward to!

Food just tastes better outdoors, doesn't it? The sheltered picnic area here features 6-8 spacious tables with plenty of room between them - no awkward eavesdropping on the next table's conversation here.

The barbecue grills are surprisingly large and well-maintained - a refreshing change from the tiny, rusty grills you might find elsewhere. It's an ideal setup for small gatherings like birthday celebrations or baby showers. Nothing says "congratulations" quite like burgers in the park!
