This large park has something for practically everyone, whether you're a sports enthusiast, fitness buff, or just looking for a peaceful spot to unwind.

The park features a wide array of athletic facilities for sports lovers. You can find well-maintained baseball and football fields (both lighted for evening play), tennis courts at the recently renovated Jimmy Evert Tennis Center, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and sand volleyball pits well-suited for friendly competitions.

The pickleball courts have become quite the hotspot for locals, while soccer fields and a roller hockey rink round out the sporting options. Throughout the year, the fields come alive with youth tackle football games and baseball tournaments that bring the community together.

Stay Fit, Stay Happy

Looking to break a sweat? Holiday Park offers several options. Winding walking and jogging trails crisscross the grounds, offering a peaceful retreat from city sidewalks. Outdoor fitness stations with weight-based equipment dot the landscape for those who prefer their workouts with a side of fresh air.

The park's gymnasium hosts organized sports programs for both kids and adults, making it easy to find your fitness community. Joggers and cyclists particularly appreciate the paved paths that keep them safely away from traffic. If group activities are more your style, check out the monthly critical mass bike ride that kicks off from the park at 8pm on the last Friday of each month - it's a great way to meet fellow cycling enthusiasts.

Family Fun

Holiday Park has several features to keep the little ones entertained. The children's playground provides a space for kids to burn off energy, however be aware that some playground areas have been undergoing renovations. One unique feature that never fails to fascinate youngsters is the real train locomotive display near the play area - an ideal photo opportunity!

When it's time for a break, you'll discover picnic areas with tables and pavilions scattered around the grounds. These shady spots make ideal settings for family lunches, birthday celebrations, or just a quiet afternoon with a good book.

Puppy Paradise

For dog owners: The park features a spacious gated dog park with thoughtfully separated areas for small and large dogs. This area includes water stations and bowls for your four-legged friends. It's also a place where local pet owners connect while their dogs socialize.

Holiday Park functions as a gathering place for the Fort Lauderdale community. The War Memorial Auditorium hosts major city-sponsored events and performances that bring neighbors together. Year-round, the grounds transform for outdoor concerts, cultural celebrations, and community events.

In a modern twist, the park has become a favorite spot for Pokemon Go players, with EX Raid gyms and numerous stops making it a digital playground alongside its physical one.

Good to Know

Holiday Park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 11PM, with free parking available in designated areas - a true bonus in the heart of the city.

One thing to note: while the park offers extensive facilities, restrooms might not be accessible in all areas, especially as evening approaches. A bit of planning ahead can make your visit more comfortable.
