The heart of Alexandria Oaks features a sprawling open field surrounded by a paved walking path that makes a complete loop around the park. If you're into bike riding or rollerblading, you'll appreciate this smooth, paved surface - it's also great for parents with strollers looking for an easy outdoor stroll.

Need a workout measure? The loop stretches about half a mile around. Throughout your walk, you'll be sheltered by the majestic oak trees that give the park its name. Keep an eye out for the particularly impressive oak standing sentinel near the open field at the back - it's quite the sight!

Sports enthusiasts will find soccer goal nets and plenty of open grassy space regularly used for soccer and lacrosse practice. When you need a breather, several benches scattered around the grounds offer perfect spots to sit and soak in the surroundings.

You'll regularly see locals walking their four-legged friends along the paths, however remember that all dogs must stay on leash (it's the rules, folks). For your convenience, doggie deposit stations are positioned at both park entrances.

Heads up - the park doesn't have a playground, restrooms, or designated picnic areas. You'll also need to find street parking, as there's no dedicated lot. But what Alexandria Oaks lacks in facilities, it makes up for with consistently well-maintained grounds and manicured lawns.
