About the Location

Historic Background

Hollybrook Park is located in the northeast Lackawanna section of west Jacksonville, Florida. The City of Jacksonville acquired the park's northern three-quarters from the developer in 1922, with the park originally covering 21 acres.

Today, Hollybrook Park serves as a boundary between the neighborhoods of Lackawanna and North Riverside.

Natural Features

The park winds in a north-south direction, following the paths of Westbrook Creek and McCoys Creek. This natural layout provides visitors with scenic views and opportunities for creek-side recreation.

The park's location and features make it an important green space within Jacksonville's urban core.

Future Developments

Hollybrook Park is set to be upgraded as part of Groundwork Jacksonville's Emerald Trail project. This initiative aims to enhance existing green spaces throughout the city, potentially improving the park's facilities and connectivity to other natural areas in Jacksonville.
