Raymond E. Davis Park is located in the northwest Jacksonville neighborhood of East Grand Park, Florida. The park was established in the early 21st century, with its origins dating back to 2001 when the Jacksonville Electric Authority donated the western portion of the property to the City for use as a park.
Initially named Spires Street Park after its completion in 2002-2003, it was later renamed in 2004 to honor Reverend Raymond E. Davis, a local pastor known for his service to the community, particularly its young people.

The park's development was driven by the efforts of local residents, led by City Councilman Reggie Fullwood, who actively sought to create a park for the area's children.
