About the Location
Facilities and Features
Nestled in Miramar, Florida, Vizcaya Park stretches across 20 acres of recreational space. At the center of the park is a 7,600 square foot Community Center that hosts local activities and events.
The center features a rentable room with a capacity for 75 people - ideal for everything from corporate meetings to private celebrations. The staff here? Genuinely helpful and professional when it comes to handling your reservations.
Outdoor Recreation
Whether you're a sports enthusiast or just looking to enjoy some fresh air, the park offers several options. The numerous athletic fields offer plenty of space to get your game on or simply stretch your legs.
Kids (and let's be honest, adults too) enjoy the Splash Pad - a welcome relief during those scorching Florida days.
You'll find football fields, soccer fields, and basketball courts throughout the park, however the basketball hoops can sometimes show signs of wear. The artificial turf in certain areas makes for easier running and playing, regardless of your athletic ability.
Playground and Family Amenities
The modern playground features updated equipment for children of all ages, and it's covered - providing much-needed shade during those sunny afternoons.
One of our favorite touches is the little library where you can borrow or swap books - adding a bit of literary charm to your park visit.
The park also overlooks a serene lake, offering a peaceful backdrop whether you're out for a jog or just sitting back and taking in the view.
Gathering Spaces
Planning a get-together? Vizcaya Park offers four pavilions that each hold up to 40 people, complete with BBQ grills for those weekend cookouts.
For larger events, there's a patio area that accommodates up to 85 people. It's no wonder locals frequently choose this spot for birthday parties, baby showers, and family reunions.
Amenities and Maintenance
You'll appreciate the clean, accessible restrooms that are well-maintained throughout the park. The overall cleanliness consistently stands out to visitors.
There's ample parking available, including overflow options on grassy areas during busy times, but it can get crowded during popular events - so arriving early isn't a bad idea.
Accessibility and Guidelines
The park is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring pedestrian-friendly paths and well-kept green spaces that invite you to enjoy the outdoors.
Note that dogs aren't permitted in the facility (except for service animals). Also, if you're planning organized activities, lessons, or training sessions, you'll need to secure a permit first.
