About the Location

A Tribute to Service

Located in Palm Coast since 2006, Heroes Memorial Park offers a tranquil sanctuary dedicated to those who've served in military and civil service roles. It's one of those places that makes you pause and reflect on the sacrifices others have made.

As you walk through, you'll notice the impressive granite monuments etched with names of fallen heroes from various military branches and civil agencies like police, fire, and rescue services. Each name tells a story of service and sacrifice.

Memorials and Monuments

The Purple Heart Memorial stands as a powerful reminder of the men and women wounded while serving in American conflicts throughout our history.

Perhaps the most touching feature is the Survivor Tree - a Callery Pear Tree rescued from the wreckage of the September 11th World Trade Center attacks. This living symbol of resilience has put down roots here, continuing its remarkable story of survival against the odds.

Park Amenities

You can find bench seating scattered across the grounds, perfect spots to sit quietly and take in the significance of this space.

And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome too! The park is dog-friendly, with pet waste bags available so you can clean up after your companion.

Community Events

The park comes alive with special memorial services on days like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Fourth of July, and September 11th - gatherings that honor those who served and, in many cases, made the ultimate sacrifice.

Note that organizations can also reserve the park for events, but certain conditions and fees apply.

Visitor Experience

There's something genuinely moving about this place. The thoughtfully designed memorials create a space that helps us connect with and honor those who've sacrificed for our freedom.

While the park is generally well-maintained, you might occasionally notice the landscaping needs a bit of attention - which feels almost at odds with the importance of what this space represents.
