Turtle Run Park is a 10-acre green space located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Since opening its gates in 1993, this community park has been offering something for everyone who visits.

Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the two 200-foot ball fields complete with backstops and 60-foot bases - ideal for impromptu baseball or softball games with friends and family. If volleyball is more your speed, there's a sand volleyball court waiting for you (just remember to pack your own ball). There's also a spacious practice area featuring multi-purpose goals that work beautifully for soccer, football, or even rugby sessions.

Family Fun Space

If you're bringing little ones along, you'll love the completely fenced multipurpose playground designed specifically for children ages 2-12. The playground has slides and swings that are popular with children. While the mulch surface provides decent cushioning for inevitable tumbles, you might want to keep an extra close eye on toddlers around the tallest platforms. Two covered tables nearby offer a fantastic spot to catch your breath while the kids play.

Need a space for a family gathering? The park features one large pavilion (28 feet by 36 feet) equipped with six 8-foot tables, water, electricity, and a substantial grill. It's ideal for birthday celebrations or family picnics, but you might want to reserve it ahead of time since it's the only bookable shelter in the park.

Natural Surroundings

One of the true delights of Turtle Run is its abundance of open grassy areas where you can run freely, play a game of tag, or try your hand at kite flying when the breeze picks up. Numerous trees scatter natural shade around the grounds, making even Florida's warmest days more bearable.

There's something wonderfully calming about having so much space to spread out. Beyond the formal sports areas, the open fields invite all sorts of spontaneous games and activities - whatever your imagination conjures up.

Getting Around

Turtle Run Park welcomes everyone with its ADA-compliant restrooms and plentiful parking. The restrooms are consistently clean and well-maintained - a small detail that makes a big difference. The park opens daily from 6AM to 10PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer.

Parents will appreciate how close the restrooms are to the playground - a thoughtful design element that makes outings with small children much more manageable. The intuitive layout of the whole park makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they play to their hearts' content.
