Woodland Trails Park

Park Overview

Tucked between Edinburgh Drive and SW Calmar Avenue in Port St. Lucie, Woodland Trails Park is a 13.58-acre green haven that's been bringing joy to locals since June 2018. This park was developed through the City's Parks Project Improvement Program & Six-Year Development Plan, with planning that began in 2002.

Trails and Recreation Areas

The park's half-mile walking trail winds through towering pine trees that create natural umbrellas of shade - welcome relief during hot Florida afternoons. If you're squeezing in a quick jog before work or taking a leisurely weekend bike ride, the trail accommodates all paces and purposes.

The tall pines don't just look pretty - they're practically nature's air conditioning as you make your way around the path.

Playground and Family Amenities

Kids will enjoy the covered playground designed for ages 2-12. In 2023, the playground was upgraded with turf flooring that's both practical and visually appealing. Little ones can express themselves with interactive sensory play components including bongo drums - because what kid doesn't love making a little noise?

The playground's fence gives parents peace of mind, and the unique face-to-face swing lets you maintain eye contact with your child while you both enjoy the motion. The roof provides valuable shade while the kids play.

Dog Park

Dogs are well accommodated at this park. The popular dog park thoughtfully separates the big guys from the small with dedicated areas for large dogs and small dogs. Some simple agility obstacles give energetic pups a chance to show off their skills.

You can find all the essentials here - watering stations to keep Fido hydrated and waste disposal bags to keep everything clean. Meanwhile, you can chat with fellow dog lovers while your pets make friends of their own in this secure, fenced environment.
