Found in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Whispering Pines Park spans a generous 37 acres of community space. Since opening its gates in 1992, this local retreat has been a go-to spot for outdoor enthusiasts and families looking to enjoy some fresh air and recreation.

The park features an impressive racquet and paddle center that sports enthusiasts will appreciate. With multiple tennis courts and a whopping 24 pickleball courts complete with shade and seating between courts, you'll never have to wait long for your turn to play. Evening games? No problem - the courts are lit up after sunset, and there are even shaded grandstands if you're more in the spectator mood. This facility is used by both the City's Parks and Recreation Department and neighboring Treasure Coast High School.

Indoor and Outdoor Amenities

At the core of the park stands Minsky Gym, an 8,000-square-foot indoor space where community members gather for various activities year-round. Step outside, and you'll find baseball and softball fields, a football field, basketball courts topped with shady roofing, and a grass volleyball area with nearby shower facilities.

One of the newer additions that's been drawing crowds is the outdoor skating area, which really comes alive during Wednesday and Sunday evening sessions. It's become quite the local hotspot!

The recently renovated playground is well-designed. Safety was clearly a priority here, with padded surfaces throughout and partial fencing to keep wanderers in check. There's plenty of shade too, a real blessing during those sunny Florida days.
