The playground is definitely a highlight for families with little ones. What makes it stand out is the thoughtful design - it's fenced in with child safety locking gates and features astroturf surfacing. As a parent, you can actually relax a bit while your kids play in this secure setup.

If basketball is your thing, you'll appreciate the full basketball court that's kept in good condition. We've noticed quite a few pickup games happening here on weekends. There's also a dedicated outdoor exercise area with various fitness equipment where you can get your workout in while enjoying fresh air instead of being cooped up in a gym.

The Layout

One of the first things you'll notice about Kiwanis Park is the quirky small hill near the entrance. It might not sound like much, but it adds a nice touch of character to what would otherwise be a completely flat space - a rarity in Florida parks!

You'll come across good shade coverage throughout most areas, which is absolutely priceless during those hot Florida afternoons. No need to worry about getting scorched while watching the kids play.

The large open field gives you plenty of options - toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball around, or just let the kids run wild and burn off that endless energy.

Dog parents will be happy to hear that the park is dog-friendly, however several regulars wish there was a dedicated fenced area for off-leash play. Your furry friends are welcome, but remember to bring those cleanup bags!
