Established in 1952 by the Pacific War Memorial Commission, the park serves as a living memorial dedicated to honoring veterans, with a special focus on those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of the United States during World War II.
The centerpiece of the park is a tall obelisk memorial, which stands as a prominent feature of the landscape. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with manicured gardens, pathways, and palm trees, creating a serene and picturesque setting.
