Carey Grove Park is a 5-acre neighborhood park located on the east side of Carey Road, just south of 146th Street in Carmel, Indiana. Originally developed between 1997 and 1998, the park underwent a complete redesign and reimagining in 2020.
Today, it offers a modernized, family-friendly outdoor space designed to cater to visitors of all ages.
Innovative Playground
The park boasts an innovative playground with distinct areas for younger children aged 2-5 and older children aged 5-12. This playground includes unique features like musical instruments integrated into the play space, such as interactive drums and chimes, making it the first musical park in Indiana.
Additional offerings include swings, climbing structures, slides, and even an enclosed tower for adventurous climbers. The playground is both safe and inclusive, with soft rubber surfaces and accessible equipment suited for children of various abilities.
Fitness Opportunities
For adults looking to stay active, Carey Grove Park offers permanent outdoor workout equipment, including two stationary bikes and an elliptical, strategically placed near the playground so parents can keep an eye on their kids while exercising.
The park also features a half-basketball court for casual games and a ¼-mile paved walking trail, perfect for running, walking, or strollers. This flat, looped trail provides visibility of the entire park, offering a convenient and scenic recreational space.

Carey Grove Park prioritizes comfort and convenience with two large covered picnic shelters equipped with picnic tables and BBQ grills, making it an ideal setting for gatherings and events.
Three smaller uncovered picnic tables are available throughout the park, along with year-round restrooms and drinking fountains, including a bottle-filling station. The park's layout ensures accessibility, with parking located nearby for easy access to facilities.
