McMillen Park has been serving the community since 1937, after being donated by Dale W. McMillen. This sprawling 107-acre recreational area is situated at the intersection of Hessen Cassel and Oxford Streets.
The park is easily accessible to nearby neighborhoods like Greater McMillen and Rudisill Plaza, making it a central gathering spot for Fort Wayne residents.
Recreational Facilities
The park offers extensive walking trails that provide opportunities for exercise and relaxation amidst natural surroundings. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy multiple basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball and football fields.
A highlight of McMillen Park is the McMillen Golf Course, which includes an 18-hole, par-65 executive course, a 9-hole short course, and a driving range. The facility also offers FootGolf, adding a unique twist to the traditional golfing experience.
