While you won't find elaborate amenities (just a few benches and no picnic tables), the well-maintained grounds create a clean, inviting environment. Perhaps the crown jewel of Sokol Park is the Cedar River Trail winding through the grounds. With convenient parking and a clear access point to the trail, it provides easy access to the trail system. You can choose your adventure with paths on both sides of the levee - follow along the riverside for water views or take the higher route over the levee for a broader perspective of the landscape.

Nature & Neighborhood

Don't be surprised if you spot some geese wandering about during your visit. The park sits near the vibrant NewBo area and connects with Osborn Park, creating a nice network of green spaces. Park Basics

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department manages Sokol Park as part of their city-wide system. The gates are open daily from 7AM until 10PM.
