About Fejervary Park in Davenport
Fejervary Park is a 75-acre public park located in the west end of Davenport, Iowa. The park is characterized by rolling green grass hills and trees, providing a natural setting within the city. Originally established in the early 1900s, Fejervary Park has been a longtime recreational area for local residents.
The park is home to the Fejervary Learning Center, which offers nature-based play areas and educational programs. This center, formerly known as Mother Goose Land, incorporates nursery rhyme themes into its design and activities. It typically operates seasonally from late May through early September.
A key feature of Fejervary Park is its aquatic center, which includes amenities such as a zero-depth entry pool, water slides, and a splash area. The aquatic center is a popular destination for families during the summer months.
In addition to its water features, the park offers more traditional amenities for visitors. These include playground equipment for children, picnic areas with reservable shelters, and walking paths that wind through the park's scenic landscape.
Fejervary Park's location near other local attractions, such as the Putnam Museum to its east, makes it part of a larger recreational and educational area within Davenport.
