Recreation Facilities

Aley Park offers a variety of sports options. You'll come across two well-lit tennis courts that let you keep playing even after sunset, a pair of sand volleyball courts excellent for impromptu games, and a basketball/multi-use court that sees plenty of action. Baseball and softball players can take advantage of two diamonds complete with bleachers and dugouts - just keep in mind these fields don't have lighting for night games.

For the wheels crowd, there's a dedicated skate park on the grounds. While it's not massive, it's become a bit of a hotspot for BMX riders thanks to its pump track that local kids seem to absolutely love.

Swimming and Water Activities

Let's be honest - the swimming pool is probably the star attraction here. It's super family-friendly with something for everyone: a shallow wading pool for the little ones, 1- and 3-meter diving boards for the brave, and a two-flume waterslide that's always popular. Three shaded shelters offer a welcome break from the summer sun. The youngest visitors typically gravitate toward the splash pad, which provides safe water fun for tiny adventurers.

The pool area is kept clean and safe with attentive lifeguards on duty. Clean restrooms with showers make it easy to rinse off after your swim. When you're hungry, the snack area with vending machines provides quick refreshments.

Family Amenities

The park features a recently renovated playground area that, while not enormous, offers plenty of fun for kids of all ages and stays open 24/7. Perfect for those summer evenings when the kids still have energy to burn!

You'll also find all the essentials for a great day out - picnic tables, clean restrooms, and plenty of parking. The park's layout, with its shady spots and pleasant surroundings, makes it ideal for community get-togethers or just lounging away an afternoon. The generous grassy areas throughout provide ample space to toss a frisbee or spread out a picnic blanket, but it's worth noting you might encounter the occasional stickers or thorns in some sections.

Dog-Friendly Space

Four-legged friends are welcome at Aley Park, provided they stay on a leash and you clean up after them (as you should!). The open spaces make for pleasant dog walks, but keep an eye out for those pesky stickers in the grass that can get caught in paws.

Park History

Stretching across 18.90 acres, Aley Park has been serving the community since 1941. Its location right next to Stanley Elementary School makes it a natural gathering spot. With various facilities and well-maintained grounds, the park offers activities for most interests, whether you want to play, swim, or simply enjoy some fresh air.
