Located on West 2nd Street, Kiwanis Park offers a peaceful green space in Wichita. With its generous open spaces and peaceful atmosphere, it's the kind of place where you can spread out a blanket, take a deep breath, and just... relax.

The park has a bit of history behind it, gifted to the community back in 1969 with just one string attached - that it would always carry the name "Kiwanis Park." Fair enough, right?

Trails & Sports For Everyone

The .45-mile fitness trail winds through the park with a smooth paved surface that's good for both power walking and leisurely strolls.

Sports enthusiasts, you haven't been forgotten. The basketball court sees plenty of pick-up games, while the tennis court awaits your best serves.

The multi-use field is particularly versatile - hosting soccer matches one day and softball games the next. The softball diamond features an actual grass surface (a nice touch) and doubles as a soccer field when needed. Just note that there's no seating or lighting here, so day games are your best bet. Throughout the year, you'll spot kids' leagues and community teams making the most of these facilities.

Kid-Friendly Spots & Picnic Paradise

If you've got little ones in tow, the playground offers the usual suspects - swings, slides, and climbing structures - all set in sand for softer landings. It's kept clean and well-maintained, however parents of very young toddlers might find the options somewhat limited.
