Park Overview

O.J. Watson Park, located in Wichita, Kansas, is one of the city's largest and most feature-rich parks, spanning 119 beautiful acres. Established in 1965, this park offers a rustic yet vibrant setting filled with activities for visitors of all ages.

Originally developed from four sand pits, the park now centers around a stunning 40-acre lake that serves as a hub for fishing, kayaking, and pedal boating. A valid Kansas Fishing License is required for fishing, and bait is conveniently available for purchase during most seasons.

The park features several playgrounds catering to children. These include a rubber-surfaced playground for safety-conscious parents and sand-surfaced playgrounds that add tactile fun to the mix.
