Popular Dog Park

One of the standout features of Wellington Park is its large and popular dog park, a favorite spot for local pet owners. The dog park comprises two fenced-in areas for off-leash play, providing separate spaces for dogs of different sizes.

Shaded areas and trees offer comfort for both pets and their owners. Visitors have praised the cleanliness of the space and the friendly atmosphere among dog owners.

Water fountains are only available near the parking lot, which could be inconvenient for those spending significant time in the dog park.

Unique Labyrinth

Another unique element of Wellington Park is its labyrinth, a privately funded addition constructed in 2022. The labyrinth serves as a space for walking meditation and reflection.

Designed to be wheelchair accessible, this 11-circuit labyrinth is a replica of the medieval Chartres labyrinth, providing both aesthetic appeal and an opportunity for mindfulness. Surrounded by a grove of trees, it adds a contemplative, spiritual dimension to the park experience.

Wellington Park does not feature playgrounds or sports courts, which contributes to its relatively quiet and uncrowded atmosphere compared to nearby parks like Shillito Park.
