Green Oasis in the City

Dorothy & David Ramler Park, located at 130 Peterborough Street in Boston's bustling Fenway neighborhood, is a charming half-acre public park owned by the City of Boston. Originally a vacant parking lot, the park was transformed through collaborative efforts by the local community and the City as part of Boston's "Open Space Acquisition Policy."

Officially opened in 2004, the park serves as a tranquil escape from urban life.

Lush Landscape

The park's landscape encompasses a mix of meticulously maintained greenery, featuring an impressive array of plants, trees, and flowers. Its design includes flowering crabapple and dogwood trees, along with towering Dawn Redwoods and deciduous trees that lend vibrant fall colors.

White pines along the back edge create a natural screen from neighboring buildings. Beyond aesthetics, the park caters to wildlife as well, having been designed to support migrating birds and pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Visitor Amenities

A decorative bird fountain and engraved walkways showcasing bird species seen in the area emphasize its commitment to bird conservation. Visitors can enjoy walking paths, arbors, and a pergola, making it an inviting space for relaxation.

The park includes benches, picnic tables, and a fountain that add to its peaceful ambiance. In the summer, it also hosts a music series and other cultural events, enriching the neighborhood's community offerings.

Community Involvement

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of local volunteers and the Friends of Ramler Park organization, the park is consistently maintained as a beautiful and safe space open to the public from 6AM to 11:30PM daily.
