Stretching across 55 acres, this park is Cascade Township's main sports hub with plenty of outdoor recreation options.

The grounds offer numerous options for sports enthusiasts, featuring several baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, and a sand volleyball court. There's also an 18-hole disc golf course that welcomes players of all abilities, although we should mention that newcomers might find some holes a bit tricky. The course layout can be a little confusing with quite a hike between certain holes, so you might want to check out a course map if it's your first time throwing discs here.

If racquet sports are more your thing, you'll find tennis courts and pickleball courts available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The pickleball courts are particularly well-kept and tend to draw a regular crowd.

Family-Friendly Amenities

The modern, colorful playground caters to children of all ages. It features equipment like a tube slide, seesaw, swings, and climbing structures for youngsters. The playground has a rubber mat surface that's safer for falls and doesn't end up in shoes and socks. Parents seem to really appreciate the thoughtful mommy-and-me swing where adults and toddlers can enjoy swinging together.

For family gatherings, there are spacious picnic areas with a large open shelter housing plenty of tables. Summer days call for cooling off at the splash pad, while winter brings sledding enthusiasts to the small but fun sledding hill that tends to get busy when school's out for snow days.

If you're looking to get your steps in, the one-mile paved path circles the entire park and provides a smooth surface for walking, jogging, or biking. The well-maintained trail makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors while keeping up with your exercise routine.

Four-legged family members haven't been forgotten - a dedicated dog park offers separate spaces for large and small dogs, complete with agility equipment to keep them engaged and waste stations for responsible pet ownership. Dogs have plenty of room to run free and make new friends, and during warmer months, there's even a water fountain specifically for thirsty pups.

The park gets the practical details right with clean brick-and-mortar restrooms and plenty of parking spaces. If you're planning an event, pavilions are available for rent. Accessible pathways ensure everyone can enjoy what the park has to offer. There's also free Wi-Fi within the grounds for those who need to stay connected.

A unique perk of this park is the impromptu airplane watching you can do from the hill. With the airport nearby, you'll catch views of everything from small single-engine planes to impressive commercial aircraft soaring overhead.

Cascade Township maintains the park with care, and while there are the usual rules (no camping, swimming, or hitting golf balls), the grounds remain open daily from 8AM to 9PM. The park is open daily from 8AM to 9PM.
