Adjacent to the splash pad is a toddler-focused playground with woodchip surfacing. The playground equipment includes baby swings, a small structure with slides, and a springy merry-go-round.

Joe Taylor Park was designed with sustainability in mind. The park utilizes LED parking lot lighting and employs a system that reuses splash pad water for irrigating the trees and lawn.
