Natural Escape

Located in Delta Township, Erickson Park offers a peaceful 17-acre retreat about 3.5 miles south of Saginaw Highway on Canal Road. Since 1972, this serene space has been leased from the Lansing Board of Water & Light, providing a little piece of nature just minutes from the bustle of the city.

With plenty of parking, you won't have to stress about finding a spot for your visit. If you're in the mood to reconnect with nature, don't miss the nature walk in the back section of the park where you can take in the local greenery and maybe spot some wildlife going about their day.

Play Ball!

Baseball enthusiasts will appreciate the two lighted softball fields complete with fenced dugouts. These diamonds are well-maintained, making this spot popular for youth travel ball tournaments. The spacious, clean fields have earned Erickson Park its reputation as a solid venue for local leagues and community gatherings.

The park's location near Lansing makes it an easy trip for a game or casual hangout. Just note that if you're planning to fish, there might be some access limitations to the fishing area at certain times.

Beyond sports, Erickson Park offers the basics - restrooms and picnic areas where you can enjoy a casual lunch or snack. Between games, the open grassy spaces invite impromptu frisbee matches or simply lounging with a good book.
