Creekview Park is located on the east bank of Shingle Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The park spans approximately 10 acres and serves as a recreational hub for the surrounding neighborhood.
Shingle Creek, a 12-mile waterbed, runs through the park and provides a natural habitat for various small mammals and birds, enhancing the park's ecological value.
Playground and Attractions
One of the park's notable features is its playground, which includes a distinctive 30-foot high slide. This three-story play structure is unique within the Minneapolis park system, offering an exciting attraction for children.
The park also boasts a variety of athletic facilities to cater to different sports enthusiasts.
Recent Improvements
In 2005-2007, Creekview Park underwent significant improvements. These enhancements included the construction of a skate park and the upgrade of a baseball field (funded by a grant from the Minnesota Twins).
Other improvements included installation of new playground equipment and the creation of a computer lab in the recreation center.
Trails and Connectivity
The park is connected to a larger network of green spaces via the Shingle Creek Regional Trail, which offers opportunities for walking and biking.

Recreation Center
Creekview Park is complemented by the Creekview Recreation Center, which is attached to Floyd B. Olson Middle School. This arrangement allows for shared use of facilities between the park and the school, enhancing community access to recreational resources.
