Assembly Union Park

A New Community Space

Assembly Union Park is a newly established 1.55-acre park located in the Highland Bridge neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Opened in July 2023, it is part of a larger redevelopment project on the former Ford Motor Company plant site.

The park's name pays homage to the area's industrial history and acknowledges the contributions of the Ford Motor Company workforce to the surrounding communities.

Recreation Facilities

Assembly Union Park is designed to cater to a variety of recreational needs for residents and visitors. The park features a large play area with resilient flooring and play structures suitable for multiple age groups, including a separate tot area and climbing webs.

This playground covers nearly a quarter of the park's total area.

Sports Amenities

One of the park's notable features is its inclusion of Saint Paul's first dedicated pickleball courts. The park boasts three pickleball courts, addressing the growing popularity of this sport in the community.

Additionally, a full-court basketball court is available, which can accommodate multiple games when not in use for a full match.

Relaxation Areas

For those seeking relaxation or social gatherings, Assembly Union Park offers picnic tables and ample green space. The park also includes a dedicated dog relief area, though it does not feature an off-leash dog park.

Benches are strategically placed near the play areas for parents and guardians to comfortably supervise children.

Part of Highland Bridge Development

Assembly Union Park is one of four new parks created as part of the Highland Bridge development, which aims to transform the former industrial site into a vibrant community space.

Its location within walking distance of retail areas, other parks, and the Mississippi River makes it an integral part of the neighborhood's urban landscape.
