Barberry Park is a charming five-acre haven in Columbia, Missouri that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. This neighborhood park sits comfortably back from the road, with plenty of street parking that makes visiting a breeze.

The heart of the park is its small but delightful fishing lake and dock. Don't let the size fool you - the waters here hold some surprisingly substantial largemouth bass, bluegill, and bream, making it worth bringing your fishing gear along. If fishing isn't your thing, the 0.25-mile concrete loop trail that winds around the lake provides a wonderful path for a leisurely stroll or a quick morning jog.

Fun for Everyone

If you're bringing little ones along, the park's playground will keep them entertained with a variety of play structures. From baby swings for the tiniest visitors to slides and climbing apparatus for more adventurous kids, there's something for different age groups.
