Marlene Mini Park

Neighborhood Retreat

Near the corner of 20th Street and Marlene Drive in Lincoln, Nebraska, Marlene Mini Park is one of those little green sanctuaries that bring a neighborhood to life. At just about 0.25 acres, it's not going to compete with the city's larger parks, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in convenience for local families, especially those with little ones in tow.

Playground Paradise

What makes this mini park worth the visit? For starters, there's a multi-level playground that keeps kids entertained with slides and various climbing features. The designers thoughtfully included safety-conscious ground cover underneath - because skinned knees are inevitable, but we can at least try to minimize the drama, right?

Sports Spot

If your kids are past the jungle gym phase, the park also features a paved half-court basketball court. It's nothing fancy, but it's ideal for shooting some casual hoops or practicing your layups. The court sits near some generous shade trees, which you'll definitely appreciate during those hot Nebraska summer days. Whether you've got toddlers who need to burn off energy or older kids looking to improve their jump shot, this little neighborhood spot has you covered.
