During the 2011 renovation project, the city removed approximately 87,000 square feet of turf and upgraded the irrigation system. This effort was projected to save 6.6 million gallons of water annually.

The $1.5 million renovation was funded through a combination of city utility services funds, rebates from the Southern Nevada Water Authority, and Residential Construction Tax.
