About the Location
Park Overview
Located in The Paseos Village of Summerlin, Fox Hill Park is an 18-acre space that opened in December 2018. Sitting pretty on Antelope Ridge Drive next to Vassiliadas Elementary School, this park isn't just your average green space. One of its notable features is the panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and valley beyond. The vistas are impressive both during daylight hours and in the evening when the city lights are visible.
Adventure Play Area
If your kids have energy to burn, the park offers plenty of options. The park's adventure-themed design features multiple play zones that cater to various age groups. At the heart of it all stands a 32-foot climbing tower that gives older children a thrilling vertical challenge.
The park features zip lines where riders can glide across the park. The embankment slides built into the hillside provide speedy descents down the natural terrain. Daring climbers won't want to miss the "Orange Beast" - a massive climbing structure that tests even the most adventurous playground warriors.
The fun doesn't stop there - custom swings, a climbing fort, multiple rope climbing structures, and a spinning machine round out the playground options. While most equipment is ideal for kids 5 and up, there are a few areas where younger children can play with some parental supervision.
Amenities and Features
When it's time to refuel, head to one of the four covered picnic ramadas scattered around the park. These shaded havens come complete with tables, making them perfect spots for family picnics or casual get-togethers (no permit needed for groups under 100 people).
For disc golf enthusiasts, the park's 18-hole course offers a refreshing challenge. Most holes range from 130 to 150 feet, with the layout designed to welcome beginners while still keeping things interesting with moderate elevation changes and those beautiful Vegas views in the background.
No need to cut your visit short when nature calls - the park features clean restrooms in a central location, stocked with all the essentials like toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
Scenic Views and Open Space
The park's hillside location isn't just pretty - it's part of what makes Fox Hill special. As you explore, you'll encounter different vantage points offering stunning views of the Strip and valley. This natural elevation adds an extra dimension to all the park's activities.
The rolling hills and open grassy areas provide plenty of space to fly kites, toss a ball around, or simply spread out a blanket and relax. These expansive green spaces double as parts of the disc golf course while leaving room for whatever outdoor activity strikes your fancy.
Walking Trails
Lacing across the grounds are well-maintained walking trails that connect not just the park itself but extend into neighboring areas. These paved paths are wheelchair accessible and ideal for a morning jog, leisurely stroll, or walking your four-legged friend. As you follow the trails, you'll enjoy scenic views while having the option to extend your walk by connecting to the broader network of paths in the area.
Park Rules
To keep Fox Hill enjoyable for everyone, a few simple rules apply. Dogs are welcome but need to stay on leash at all times. The park opens daily at 6AM and closes at 10:30PM, with certain equipment like the zip lines being locked overnight for safety reasons.
