Liston Park

A Little Urban Retreat

Situated on Yori Avenue in Reno, Nevada, Liston Park is a modest 1-acre green space that packs a surprising amount of charm into its small footprint. This compact neighborhood park offers a welcome breath of fresh air for locals looking to step away from the urban hustle without venturing far from home. With its generous tree cover and open grassy areas, there's something calming about this little pocket of nature that makes it a pleasant spot to unwind.

What You'll Find Here

Though small, Liston Park comes equipped with the essentials you need for a casual outdoor visit. The playground gives kids a place to burn off energy, while picnic tables scattered throughout make it easy to enjoy lunch or an afternoon snack in the shade. You'll find trash cans conveniently placed around the grounds - a simple but appreciated touch that helps keep this community space clean and inviting.

Playground Situation

Families with young children gravitate toward the relatively new playground equipment, which has become something of a neighborhood draw. That said, it's worth knowing that some maintenance issues have left several slides boarded up. Despite these hiccups, the playground remains the heart of the park for many visiting families, offering enough functioning equipment to keep little ones entertained.

A Dog's Paradise

Local dog owners have made Liston Park something of an unofficial canine social club. The open spaces provide plenty of room for four-legged friends to stretch their legs and socialize. While dog waste bags are sometimes available, it's always smart to bring your own - better safe than sorry when it comes to cleaning up after your pup.

The Real Deal

Like many neighborhood parks, Liston sees its share of wear and tear. You might spot some graffiti here and there, and certain areas could use a little TLC. But these minor imperfections hardly detract from what makes this space special to those who frequent it - especially during quieter hours when you might have much of the park to yourself.
