The baseball and softball fields are the main draw at Peavine Fields, pulling in teams and leagues from across the Reno community who come to pitch, hit, and run the bases. The park spans 10 acres of public green space and has become a local favorite.

There's something genuinely special about the "sandlot" atmosphere here - it's that nostalgic, no-frills baseball experience that takes you back to simpler times. Between games, you'll find folks sprawled out on the surrounding grassy areas, enjoying picnics or tossing a ball around.

What You Need to Know

If nature calls while you're visiting, restrooms are available - just note they're only open seasonally (late April to early October), weather permitting. There's some parking available for when you're catching a game or just enjoying the open space.

The park's location in a residential area makes it an easy destination for neighbors who can simply walk over when the weather's nice.

Get Moving

Need to stretch your legs? The jogging trails weaving through and around the fields provide perfect routes for a morning run or afternoon stroll. Just be aware that during peak growing seasons, Mother Nature sometimes reclaims parts of the paths with encroaching vegetation.

On weekends, the trails come alive with locals taking their regular walks, often with four-legged friends in tow, enjoying the fresh air and open spaces.
