A $1 million gift from Waldemar J. Kaminski, a local businessman who lived simply but had quite the knack for investments, transformed an empty lot just outside the main entrance of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo into a two-acre green haven.

Winding paths now guide you past bubbling fountains, shade-giving trees, and colorful flower gardens that seem to whisper "take a moment to slow down."

Nature's Medicine

Kaminski Park works hard during the year. Beyond offering a tranquil escape, it transforms into a community gathering spot for Roswell Park's annual Tree of Hope celebration. During summer months, the park buzzes with weekly farmers markets where you can grab fresh produce and local goods. Occasionally, the space fills with music during outdoor concerts that bring a different kind of healing energy to the campus.
