About the Location

A Fresh Playground Experience

The heart of Norton Village Park's recent makeover is the newly relocated playground, now conveniently situated next to the Norton Village Lodge. This refreshed play space offers something for every young adventurer, with modern equipment tailored for different age groups - from toddlers taking their first steps to pre-teens looking for a challenge.

Safety gets a major upgrade here with rubberized surfacing throughout, giving kids a softer landing when they inevitably tumble during play. What's particularly nice is how clean and well-maintained everything is - a detail that doesn't go unnoticed by families who frequent the park.

Get Your Game On

Feeling athletic? Norton Village Park offers several options. The basketball court stays busy with local residents showing off their skills and friendly pickup games happening regularly.

If baseball is more your speed, you'll appreciate the well-kept baseball field available for both organized teams and casual weekend players. There's plenty of open space surrounding these facilities, good for stretching out, warming up, or just enjoying some active time outdoors.

A Fresh New Look

The park emerged from a significant facelift in October 2024, breathing new life into this community space. The renovations included thoughtfully designed paths that now weave within the grounds, making the park more accessible for everyone and creating perfect routes for your morning jog or evening stroll.

This renovation project was led by the City of Rochester to improve outdoor spaces for the Norton Village community and nearby neighborhoods.

Where Community Happens

Beyond the active areas, Norton Village Park offers peaceful green spaces where you can simply relax and take in some fresh air. The park is a natural gathering spot, with the Norton Village Lodge being particularly popular for community events. Many locals have rented this versatile space for everything from birthday celebrations to community meetings, with positive experiences all around.

The updated facilities provide a space where people of all ages can enjoy outdoor recreation, exercise, or simply connect with neighbors.

Picnic Perfect

When hunger strikes, head to one of the dedicated picnic areas that come complete with shade and grills. These spots are ideal for turning a park visit into a proper outing, whether you're planning a family lunch or meeting up with friends. After enjoying the park's other amenities, there's nothing better than settling down for a relaxing meal in the open air.
