Southwest Park

Expansive Recreational Area

Southwest Park is a 513-acre recreational area located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Owned and operated by Guilford County in conjunction with the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority, the park offers a diverse range of outdoor activities and natural spaces for visitors to enjoy.

Trails and Pathways

The park features several hiking and biking trails that wind through its expansive grounds. These paths provide excellent opportunities for exercise and nature exploration throughout the changing seasons.

Water Recreation

One of the park's main attractions is its access to the Randleman Regional Reservoir, which offers miles of open water for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Visitors can bring their own watercraft or rent canoes, kayaks, and jon boats from the park's marina.

It's important to note that swimming, water skiing, jet skis, and the use of gasoline motors are prohibited on the reservoir. The lake is closed to boating and fishing on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Dog Park Amenities

Southwest Park is also home to a popular dog park, spanning 2.5 acres with separate sections for large and small dogs. This fenced area provides a safe space for pets to exercise and socialize off-leash, while their owners can enjoy the fresh air and community atmosphere.
