Nestled on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, North Carolina, Eliza Pool Park stands where the Eliza Pool School once educated local students from 1924 to 1980.

The park honors Eliza Pool, a dedicated educator who taught in Wake County Schools beginning in 1886.

One of the park's highlights is its covered picnic shelter - spacious enough to accommodate everything from a kid's birthday bash to a gathering with up to 80 guests.

There's also a charming gazebo where you can sit back and unwind. If you position yourself just right, you'll be treated to a stunning view of downtown Raleigh - especially magical as the city lights twinkle after sunset.

Kids will love the playground that caters to all ages, with equipment designed for both the little ones and older children.

Sports fans, rejoice! The park features a full-size regulation soccer field that's fantastic for competitive adult matches. Not into organized sports? This open space works just as well for frisbee, catch, or simply letting the kids run wild and burn off some energy.

Connected to the Capital Area Greenway system, the walking trail here makes for a pleasant stroll. You'll often spot locals walking their dogs or getting in their daily steps along this path.
