Park Overview

Previously known as Sierra Drive Park, this 2.42-acre green space in Southwest Raleigh was renamed Mary Belle Pate Park to honor a dedicated local advocate whose persistent efforts helped bring it to life. It opened in May 2019 and, though modest in size, offers a pleasant spot for locals seeking a bit of outdoor enjoyment.

Playground Adventures

Kids will love the modern playground with its rubber surface that's gentle on little knees when inevitable tumbles happen. This cushioned base is excellent for toddlers still mastering the art of staying upright. Older children can challenge themselves on the impressive climbing net, however you might want to keep a closer eye on the little ones attempting this feature.
