Historic Origins
Firestone Park is a historic neighborhood park located in Akron, Ohio. Originally established in 1933 through a donation of 52 acres by Harvey Firestone, founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, the park has since expanded to encompass 258 acres.

The park features diverse natural landscapes, including large wetlands and marshy meadows that provide critical habitats for various wildlife species. Over 175 bird species have been observed in the park, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers.
