Hereford Park

A Hidden Neighborhood Retreat

Hereford Park sits along Hereford Drive in Akron's Highland Square area, and at just 0.6 acres it's one of the smaller green spaces in the neighborhood. What it lacks in size it makes up for in quiet charm, and it has become something of a gathering spot for locals looking to enjoy a bit of nature without venturing far from home.

Play & Picnic Options

If you've got kids in tow, you'll appreciate the playground equipment where little ones can burn off energy while you chat with neighbors. The open area is pretty versatile too - you'll often spot impromptu football games breaking out when the weather's nice.

Fancy a cookout? The park comes equipped with barbecue grills ready for your weekend gatherings. You're welcome to use the provided grills or bring your own setup if you prefer. Nothing beats the simple pleasure of grilling outdoors while the kids play nearby.

Beyond a Park

Maintained by the City of Akron, this little green space adds to the neighborhood's character. It's a place where neighbors and their four-legged friends often meet up.

For nearby residents, it's a convenient breath of fresh air right in the midst of urban living. Just a heads-up: there aren't any public restrooms available here, so plan accordingly before spending the afternoon.
