The park bears the name of a former City Council Representative and Clerk, but many locals still affectionately call it by its original name, Sunrise Park. Mercedes Cotner Park sits at the intersection of West 95th Street and Maywood Avenue in Cleveland's West Boulevard neighborhood in Ward 14, and is a living example of Cleveland's ongoing effort to create welcoming outdoor spaces where community can thrive.
