About the Location
History and Dedication
Tony Brush Park is a public green space located at the intersection of Random and Mayfield Roads in the Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. The park was dedicated in 1993 and is named after Anthony Brescia, also known as Tony Brush, a champion boxer and prominent resident of Little Italy.
The park was developed on the site of a former baseball field and playground, which had been dedicated in 1972 as Random Road Park. The transformation into Tony Brush Park fulfilled the vision of its namesake, who had been one of the first presidents of the Mayfield-Murray Hill District Council and had advocated for creating a recreational space in this location.
