Tuland Park

Location and Overview

Nestled at the corner of South Marginal Drive and West 144th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, Tuland Park offers locals a green escape from the urban hustle. This 6.2-acre public space is the neighborhood's outdoor living room, where you can stretch out on the grass for some sun, toss a frisbee, or simply watch the clouds drift by. While there aren't any permanent picnic tables or grills (so you might want to bring your own blanket), the spacious lawns provide plenty of room to spread out for an impromptu picnic or casual hangout.

Facilities and Amenities

If you've got kids in tow, the playground is likely where you'll spend most of your time. It features a stellar jungle gym setup that keeps the little ones entertained, along with swings that are perfectly sized for younger children. Parents of toddlers will appreciate that the slides aren't intimidatingly tall - no heart-stopping moments as your little one climbs to dizzying heights!

Baseball fans can take advantage of the park's baseball field, which regularly hosts local teams and youth leagues. During summer, you might spot various sports teams running drills or practicing in the open green space.

The expansive field makes for an ideal kite-flying spot when the breeze picks up, and it's also a great place for kids to master their bike or scooter skills without having to navigate busy sidewalks. Management and Access

The City of Cleveland's Department of Public Works, Division of Recreation keeps Tuland Park in shape for daily visitors. You can enjoy the park from 6AM to 9PM every day, making it excellent for early morning jogs or evening strolls as the sun sets.

Note that there aren't any permanent restrooms on site, however you might find seasonal portable toilets during busier months - something to keep in mind if you're planning an extended visit with bathroom-training toddlers or after that large coffee.
