At 28 acres along the Maumee River in downtown Toledo, Promenade Park offers a stretch of green space where city life meets waterfront tranquility. Born in the 1970s and shaped by decades of renovations, the park treats you to picturesque views of the Maumee and those signature bridges that give Toledo's skyline its distinctive character.

What You'll Find

The riverfront promenade stands out - a spacious walkway great for your morning jog, afternoon stroll, or evening wander. Being right in downtown Toledo means you can easily slip away from the concrete jungle for a quick nature fix whenever the mood strikes.

If you're visiting with kids, the splash pad is bound to be a hit during warmer months. As dusk settles, underwater lights illuminate this water feature, creating a nice evening atmosphere. Across the grounds, you'll stumble upon interesting art installations that add cultural flavor and make for great photo backdrops.

You can find plenty of benches along the riverfront when you need a moment to sit back and take in the view or enjoy a packed lunch on the well-kept grass. If fishing is your thing, you can cast a line into the Maumee from designated spots within the park.

When winter rolls around, the park doesn't hibernate - it sparkles with Christmas lights and holiday decorations, including a towering Christmas tree that's become part of many families' seasonal traditions.
